eKnowlogie was founded in the year 2000 by Mr. Romel Rivera. eKnowlogie represents the natural historical continuation of the technological trajectory created by Xinotech Research, also founded by Mr. Romel Rivera. Xinotech was founded with the purpose of creating state-of-the-art software refactoring technologies for the automatic transformation of large commercial software applications. Xinotech was awarded over 20 research contracts from organizations such as DARPA (the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency), NSF (the National Science Foundation), the U.S. Air Force, the U.S. Army, the U.S. Navy and others. DARPA consistently selected the Xinotech development and refactoring environment over Rational, Reasoning Systems and others. The Xinotech technologies were commercialized to the U.S. and NATO aerospace industries, as well as throughout the IT industry for automatic Year 2000 and Euro remediation. The Air Force later adopted these technologies for the automatic modernization of their embedded avionics systems, and subsequently acquired these technologies from Xinotech. eKnowlogie was then created to host the design and development of the next generation of refactoring technologies for automatic software transformation.

eKnowlogie leverages on the Xinotech experience of 17 years of research and development of practical, state-of-the-art automatic software transformation technologies and the application of these technologies to provide services to the IT industry. For example, this experience includes the successful massive large-scale automatic Year 2000 remediation of 25 million lines of inter-related, multi-lingual COBOL, JCL, CICS, BMS, IMS, and IDMS applications for the AXA Group in France, and the automatic conversion from Jovial to C of the embedded real-time avionics software applications in the USAF F-16 and F-117 airplanes.
